BGCDV Board & community members gather for the kick off a major renovation of the Jefferson Club, starting with the landscaping.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley were one of 50 recipients to obtain a $50,000 renovation grant from Lowe’s Home Improvement as a part of Renovation Across the Nation. The only Tennessee Club to receive the honor, the organization has partnered with numerous volunteers & donors to begin the expansion of the Jefferson City Club that is currently at capacity and is very eager to serve more kids.

The landscaping project began as part of a three cycle renovation donation from the Rotary Club of Jefferson City. Also involved are long-time Club supporters, Charlie Bryant and Ed Franklin.  The Board, Volunteers and supporters began with the front landscaping, purging the building of the old and adding the new, including new gutters & front doors.

Manager at the Jefferson City Lowe’s, Zack Perry and Lowe’s Heroes volunteers are excited for the expansion of the Club and the opportunity to help increase the space in service of additional Jefferson County children!!!
